In order to really love this show as much as I, you have to like Jamie's witty, silly, wild, slap-stick and sometimes corny sense of humor. Then, with the hotel a complete mess due to the party, Jamie learns that Helen and Junior are returning home early. Unfortunately, when Jamie quits while he's ahead by throwing the dice down, the dealer thinks Jamie wants to continue betting, and Jamie loses everything. The show was light-hearted and at times silly but that was his character. When Fancy refuses to be his date, Jamie invites another woman, Chante, to make Fancy jealous. If you want to laugh out loud, then I suggest you check out the Jamie Foxx show. Then towards the end Jamie's crush turn into full bloom love and him and Braxton becoming trustworthy friends.
At the time I think his show was a little underrated and people didn't give Jamie the respect he deserves. It gets awkward when watching the second episode. However, Fancy and Chante wear identical costumes. Season 2, Episode 6 October 12, 1997 Season 2, Episode 6 October 12, 1997 An agent Anthony Michael Hall helps Jamie sell a sitcom pilot about a struggling actor who works at a hotel. Are we supposed to just watch Garcelle flick around with Jamie, period? But in the end Silace and Fancy got.
But when Jamie unwisely tastes one of the pies to find out why they are so popular, he eats the next day's entire order one after another. However, news from two mysterious guests tells Jamie it's not time to ring those wedding bells just yet: they're about to nab a notorious scam artist. Uncle Junior King played by the great Garret Morris was also hilarious as Jamie's cheap-skate uncle. I'm glad the show finished and didn't get canceled. His first task: fire an incompetent writer who is also one of his friends. But Jamie and Fancy thought other wise.
Jamie later agrees to perform with Nicole again after they are asked back for another gig. Now the character Jamie Foxx is great and although the concept isn't all that original any more after watching Fresh Prince of Bel Air, he does pull it off pretty well. Jamie and Fancy then privately fantasize about each other. Season 2, Episode 15 February 1, 1998 Season 2, Episode 15 February 1, 1998 Jamie's bawdy present for Braxton winds up in the hands of Helen Ellia English , who mistakes it for a gift she's giving a nun. Junior convinces Jamie to go to a casino and win enough to save the hotel.
Meanwhile, Helen tries to cure Junior of lotto fever. Overall, each character helped make the show to a very successful one. I use to love this character he use to play named Tryone Coppel. He had a few serious episodes where his uncle junior was afraid to have surgery and teaching a kid the value of money. Since then he recorded Unpredictable in 2005 and Intuition in 2008.
But Nelson quickly figures out that Jamie is exploiting him to attract Fancy, and sets out to make Jamie's life hellish by blackmailing him and stealing various items from around the hotel: computer files, Junior's fine Cuban cigars and Fancy's diary. Eventually, Jamie annuls the contract by threatening to reveal some embarrassing information about the producer. Garcelle Beauvais is a beautiful actress, Jamie Foxx is a great actor with a very lively character and the rest of the characters sorta fade to the background. Jamie Foxx had me crying laughing every time! Those little add in jokes he says are hilarious. Meanwhile, Junior is stumped by a hotel plumbing problem. It feels like a bad excuse for a sitcom and after the first episode you'll watch it with a frown on your face. Meanwhile, due to Junior's negligence and compulsive gambling, the hotel is in serious debt.
Jamie displayed this talent while portraying himself on the show. Jamie proves to the court that she is faking by saying that her dance moves are horrendous and she gets up and dances to prove that's a lie, exposing her as a scammer. The Jamie Foxx Show is a classical comedy. If you ask me, it was nice that all of the main characters had stayed with the show throughout its entire run. I would say the t.
Meanwhile, Braxton tries to avert a strike at the hotel. By catching the reruns of the Jamie Foxx show its about time he got his break. This show followed a really simple formula but it was still hilarious. Jamie Foxx is so funny on this show. Man, this show takes me back! The tension increases later that night when Jamie sees Fancy with another man at a party. The most hilarious part was during the first few season of the show where Braxton and Jamie are competing rivals for Fanci's love. Also, in the later seasons they brought in an Asian-looking lady as to play maid who turned me off completely.
Garrett Moris adds his own flavor of comedy and is a great addition to the show. Everyone always gave a good performance, the production design was spectacular, the costumes were well-designed, and the writing was always very strong. When a call from her agent pulls her away from yet another important night in her son's life, it forces Jamie to face some hard truths about their relationship. His character was so convincing that he could get away with anything he pleased since he was just a bellhop who moved up in the business with his uncle and aunt at the Kings Tower Hotel. Meanwhile, Braxton decides to take up Fancy's idea for sprucing up the rooms at the hotel. I'll never forget that one episode when he thought Silace was cheating on Fancy. Jamie Foxx delivers a brilliant, hilarious, and an unforgettable performance.
