Its available on just about every operating system including Debian based Linux Operating Systems but it is a little more challenging to install it on those systems then it is on Windows or Apple. Plex picks up pretty much any file with that setting. Up until now I never had much problems with the setup, we could watch just about anything. There are a few videos on YouTube demonstrating this, so take a look at those if the front end is of any concern.
