I am trying to chase this down to see if Honda may have used a small Mazda engine at that time or if it is just coincidental that the filter is used on both engines. I have tried to track this engine down through several parts distributors tractor, automotive, and industrial but have had no luck. Sometimes life is that way too, I guess. I used a saws all and just cut the exhaust in front of the flange area for the muffler. . Two different versions were available depending on the year it was produced. His practical advice was to drop the exhaust at the manifold and take it in to a muffler shop and have them do it up right. Looks like the 1200 coupe used the 1169cc engine and rated that version at 67hp. Each and every one had an application for this 1971 Mazda 1200 truck. I however needed to replace the muffler and was short on time. I'd check with your local Mitsu dealer. When you cross reference the oil filther to current applications the only match is with early model early 70's Honda engines of around 1. I found the oil switch buy providing my napa man with all the maintenance part numbers I had so far.

I kept the boxes so I have the part numbers if you need them. With a split reservoir, I am not sure if 80w gear oil or hydrolic oil is used. Older tractors had a sight glass. Does any body know or has anyone compiled a list of what parts will swap from the Ford to the Mazda or vice versa? The Case muffler is a common stock item at Tractor supply so continued maintenance will be no problem. We have a large selection of Japanese salvage tractors! Seems like this engine was used only in this tractor and in some forklifts. Check the hydraulic oil level on the left side of the case.
